The KBCPF Cycling Challenge is a
one-day ride which will be held in Southern Delaware on October 20, 2007.
Participants will attempt to ride their bicycles 100 miles in one day. For
some, this will be the longest ride they have ever attempted. Each rider
has agreed to raise a minimum of $500.00 in sponsorship in order to
participate. Sponsorship can be in a flat amount, or as a per-mile
contribution determined by the number of miles completed by the sponsored
rider. Any business, organization or individual who contributes $200.00 or
more will be prominently displayed on one of our support vehicles. You can
see a photo of one of our support vehicles on this page. Funds raised will
help the Foundation to achieve its stated goals. All donations are tax
deductible.
The concept for the ride was
developed by John T. Loftus Jr. and Kevin Titter. John serves on the Board
of Directors for the Foundation and has organized previous cycling events
for the Foundation. Kevin provided all of the graphic design and much of
the inspiration needed to organize the event.
The following individuals are
currently scheduled to ride in the event; John T. Loftus Jr., Kevin Titter,
Jamie Richie, Shawn Powell, Rex Young and Randall Lewis. We hope to
add a few more riders prior to the event. Please consider sending a
sponsorship donation in the name of one of our riders, or in
support of the entire team. If you are interested in riding in the
event and agree to raise at least $500.00 in sponsorship dollars, please
contact John at 302-378-0896.
